Skated the base loop and Outback yesterday. Only the 3rd skier on the
corduroy. Then switched skies and skied all the tracks. They were

A big THANKS to everyone who braved the cold and the rain this morning to
work on the trails. Believe it or not there were 15 of us working through the
rain and mud. It was alot of fun discussing the trails and sking again. All

2013 Wisconsin High School Nordic Ski championship

The Rhinelander High School Nordic Ski team and the Northwoods Nordic
Ski Club have been awarded the 2013 Wisconsin High School Nordic State
Championship. The event will be held Feb 8-10, 2013. The first

Now that the end of the ski season is apparently here, we just want to give
thanks to the groomers for the excellent job they did this ski season. It
must have been challenging to keep the trails so good during a winter of
near record warm temperatures. For us, it ended up being a season only 9

Excellent Ski

Mary & I did a twirl around the main loop this morning and conditions are
nothing short of excellent. Both tracks and skate deck are as close to
perfect as we've seen all winter. We did the classic ski and used blue extra
wax which worked perfect for the temps we had (28 F). Take your camera
with you as it's a picture perfect Christmas card ...Read More
