1st Annual HEY JUDE SKI     Sunday, 03/14/2010
The Northwoods Nordic Ski Club will be hosting the 1st Annual “Hey Jude Ski” in memory and celebration of our Founder Judy Swank on Sunday March 14th from noon to 3PM. It will be an afternoon of skiing, fun & food starting at the trailhead of the Northwoods Ski Trails, near the Northwood Golf Course. There will be food, campfire and fun provided by the club. There will be some goodies hidden on the trails for the young skiers. Mel’s Sporting Goods will also be on-site with skis for people interested in the sport of Nordic skiing. This is a free event and open to the public. If the trails are closed, we will still gather for food and campfire.

7th Annual Candlelight Ski      Saturday, 12/26/2009
The 7th annual candlelight ski (or hike, in case of no snow) will be Saturday, December 26 from 6PM to 8PM at the Rhinelander High School Community Trail located across from the front of the high school. Admission is free. Mel’s Ski Shop will have skis available for people interested in trying out the sport of cross country skiing. RHS skiers will be on hand to help beginner skiers with instruction and demonstration of technique. All skiers are invited and we hope this date will bring RHS alumni skiers and their families out for an evening ski. Catch up with old friends at the campfire. Hot cider & cookies served.
